Au cours d'un entretien qu'il vient d'avoir avec un de mes collaborateurs, W. YOUNG, secrétaire de la légation d'Angleterre, a déclaré que les services compétents britanniques étaient entrés en rapport avec le Gouvernement libanais en vue de réglementer des ... de la voie ferrée Makoura-Tripoli d'Asie.

Paisant allusion à la complexité et à l'auteur de la procédure actuellement en vigueur, il a indiqué que le Général SPEARS se proposait d'obtenir une "simplification" de la législation libanaise. Les autorités compétentes locales seraient bien entendu consentantes.

La presse des 23 et 24 novembre reproduit en place très apparente les comptes rendus des discours prononcés à l'assemblée consultative par M. GROSSÉS BIRAULT et par le Général DE GAULLE. Il apparaît qu'on a tenu ici à faire à ces textes une publicité particulière, puisque d'après les informations de première main en ma possession, les conditions atmosphériques ayant empêché l'agence TASS de les capter, on a (eu) recours à une écoute de Radio Brazzaville et à un télégramme agence REUTER, pourtant défectueux l'un et l'autre, pour que les journaux n'aient point l'air (2998) de faire le silence.

Concernant le débat sur la politique étrangère, la presse soviétique publie également un résumé assez abondant du discours de M. FLORIMOND BOUTE.

Bien que généralement très discrets sur les opérations de guerre tous les journaux soulignent aussi dans leurs sous-titres du 23 le succès des Français d'Alsace et intègrent dans le communiqué allié du 24 les déclarations de M. DISTRELH relatives à l'entrée à Strasbourg.
