Title
Dawn Tyler Watson Performance
Description
Dawn Tyler Watson is a Canadian born jazz and blues singer and 2020 Juno music award winner. She put on an amazing performance at the 2025 Festival International de Montreal de Jazz, delivering a captivating set and showing her vocal talent. Everything about her stage presence exhibits confidence and energy. As she plays with the Hungarian Sax Boys behind her, and her clothes shine under the intense light, she dances along and interacts with the audience showing her talent and comfort playing in front of hundreds. The festival that gives stages to well known and smaller musicians alike was heavily influenced by the original festival “Jazz de Chez Nous” started by Charlie Biddle in 1979, laying the groundwork for Alain Simard only a year later. Today's festivals are high production and completely free to attend, ensuring that the meaning of the precursor festival is kept alive; accessible and electric music for everyone to enjoy free from discrimination.
