Title
Selwyn Jacob
Description
Selwyn Jacob was a film director who found that Black people were not being represented properly in film. He was determined to change this and found his success in the Canadian Prairies. Many people may not have liked the Black representation in film, but they would never think that they could be the ones to be part of the change. Selwyn Jacob believed that he could do something, and so he did. The Canadian Prairies must have had a big impact on his life because one of his most famous films is Remembering Amber Valley, about the Black history in Alberta.
