Clement Virgo is the final Pioneering artist for Black directors in Canada. His presence would likely not be possible without the successful works of the other three directors. Clement Virgo however is commonly known for his directing for Rude 1995. Clement Virgo was the first Black Canadian director to make it to the Cannes film festival, really presenting the full circle moment through his connections with the other directors. He created the last step there was for Black Canadian directors and that was the recognition he got from Rude. His work helped motivate and inspire many other future directors and he continues to work and create to this day.
