Title

"Recollections of Sir George Williams University"

Description

Robert Walker recalling a letter written by members of the Sir George Williams Faculty in response to the Sir George Williams Affair. This letter would have been the ultimate insult to all the protestors who had just participated in the affair and paid a price for it. Whether that was jail time, a beating or just a bad memory. A student organization decided to retaliate quickly, responding to their argument by mocking it cleverly. This recollection shows the complexity of the movement, the people involved, and the international connections. The sheer vastness of historical situations is often forgotten and boiled down into a singular event or time period, when one should really use a large event as a starting point to examine the intricacies of that time period.
