"The mantle of struggle : a biography of Black revolutionary Rosie Douglas"
Description
A selection of a book about the life of Rosie Douglas, looking specifically at his involvement in the Sir George Williams Affair. Rosie rose to the position of one of the head protestors through his knowledge and ability to control both the protestors and the press for the benefit of the movement. A well respected figure, his imprisonment after the affair contributed to further protests in the Caribbean. He was a conduit that helped the word of the injustices and the movement at Sir George Williams university reach a very large number of people, and have effects beyond Canada.
