Description

This video is a segment hosted by Cameron Bailey called “Images Matter”. “Images Matter” revolves around Black Canadian Filmmakers and can be explored following the attached link. This segment is an interview between Camron Bailey and Rodger McTair. Rodger McTair, worked with Jennifer Hodge de Silva to co-direct the documentary Home Feeling: Struggle for a Community. The Video is a live recount of what was happening in the early 80s during the creation of the documentary. McTair talks about his experience in the Jane-Finch community and the people he knew there, as well as the moment Jennifer Hodge de Silva asked him to be on the documentary. The 80s were an era where not many behind the scenes moments were taken and this interview gives insight to McTair's thought process but also expands more on Jennifer Hodge de Silva as a creator who passed away in 1989. The interview also talks about the impact and importance of Home Feeling: Struggle for a Community.
