Fugitive Slave Chapel - current
Dublin Core
Title
Fugitive Slave Chapel - current
Description
In 2013, the Fugitive Slave Chapel was almost demolished for real estate. Luckily, London's city council recognized its importance and managed to raise the funds to get it moved and restored. It now stands on Grey street, beside the Beth-Emmanuel church. This shows that, despite the building itself not being anything spectacular, the importance of the congregation site and the history that led to its existence and use are noteworthy enough to make an effort to conserve.
