Title
The Coloured Women’s Club of Montreal (CWCM)
Description
The Coloured Women's Club of Montreal (CWCM) was established in 1902 by seven African-Canadian women whose husbands worked on the railways as sleeping car porters, and was modelled after the National Association of Colored Women's Clubs (NACWC). This same group of women, along with their husbands, only a few years later, formed the United Union Church.
