Rev. England
Dublin Core
Title
Rev. England
Description
Rev. England was the pastor of St. Cyprian's Mission, a church created by the Diocese of St. Albans Anglican Church in 1925.
The suggestion is that the church was created out of demands from white members not wanting Black members in their church and that creating a whole other church for them to practice at would fix this problem. The mission was damaged by fire in 1932 and was no longer used as a church, but the majority of Black members did not go back to practicing at St. Alban.
