The photo shows the Women's Auxiliary part of the BSCP in Toronto. It was made up of the wives of Black railway porters, they played a big role in organizing meetings and keeping records. They also hosted events and held union activities when the porters were off at work. They were the backbone of the BSCP's fight for labour laws and civil rights in Canada.
