Title
Dr Shadd Portrait
Description
Dr Shadd was known for being a doctor and community leader in Carrot Valley, Saskatchewan. He made the Canadian Parries his life because he cared about the people who lived there and desired for them to be able to be taken care of while living in virtually the middle of nowhere. He was the first Black doctor in the Saskatchewan. He did not face an evident racism because the importance of having a doctor in middle of no where was more important than worrying about a Black man.
