The child is toward the middle of the image, sitting on or beside the woman. The bed has two supporting legs which are visible, which have decorative markings, and the draping of the bed is visible through a series of curved lines drawn underneath the bed. The stele has a Latin inscription along the bottom which has been translated as: “Antonia, daughter of Alipius, farewell.” The engraved image is set deeper into the stone, with an arch formed above it. The form widens upwards from a round base, and is tallest at the back, representing the white crown. Inset about 5 cm from the bottom, the shape narrows into a sphere with a round protrusion at the top, angled towards the back where it meets the top of the white crown's spike. There is a small relief carving of a uraeus (uprearing cobra) at the front. The top is incised with shell and head details, and the bottom is flat with incised hieroglyphs; all incisions are slightly darker. There is a hole lengthwise from the head to the rear.
