One side depicts a satyr approaching an altar, holding an offering dish in his left hand and a torch in his right hand. A tambourine-type instrument is shown suspended in the air between the satyr and the torch. Rim is adorned with ivy pattern; beneath the ground plane (on which the satyr rests) is a border of ogive pattern. The other side depicts a maenad seated in profile on a rocky outcropping, holding a tambourine with her left hand, and a thyrsos in her right. A disc-shaped and a rectangular form are included in the composition, between the figure and the thyrsos, simply to fill in space. Each composition is defined by a vertical foliate border. Rim is adorned with ivy pattern; beneath the ground plane (on which the satyr rests) is a border of wave pattern. Decorated in the red figure style and technique: details are rendered in black, white, and ochre before firing; the contour of the figure, and parts of the decorative elements are in reserve. </text>
