As written in the liner notes of an album by Luiz's ensemble Trio Virado, "Todas as Manhãs-Homenagem a Luiz Bonfá" was orginally for three guitars and written for the Mannes Guitar Seminar in 2011. The work "describes some of the scenes in the award-winning 1958 Brazilian film Blatk Orpheus. The famous song "Manha de Carnaval" by Luiz Bonfá is the main theme of the piece, which is the theme and variations backwards.
