<text>The Iwokrama International Centre for Rainforest Conservation and Development is a Not-For-Profit Organization managed by a group of (elected) Trustees and a professional team of 70+ permanent staff within GeorgeTown, Guyana, Iwokrama River Lodge and at the Research Centre within Kurupukari, Guyana. Their mission is to protect all 371,000 hectares of rainforest. This organization wants to manage what can truly be called a 100% sustainable forest. Over the recent years programs have been created to implement knowledge on Climate Change, Eco-Tourism and Sustainable Forestry. One recent development that benefited this ENGO was receiving the recognition from the Government of Guyana to continue and now have become close partners to gain connections with donors, receive new technology and potential international workers. They chose to develop this approach as the country of Guyana is considered a Third-World Country and the ICC realizing this, wants to change these facts by using the rainforests to educate (<a href="https://iwokrama.org/about-us/">https://iwokrama.org/about-us/</a> 2020).</text>
