MarViva aims to improve the legal framework that governs human activities in the Eastern Tropical Pacific. In Costa Rica, Panama, and Colombia, they foster multisectoral mechanisms for the planning, creation, and participatory governance of Marine Protected Areas (AMP). They give community members more power in the consolidation of artisanal fishing and rural tourism value chains.
