<text>Jean Oglive Alport (Roberts) was a nursing sister during World War 1. She was born in 1886 on October 6th in Orillia, Simcoe, Ontario. She enlisted in the army in the year 1915 on April 7th. Her medical examination report revealed that she was 28 years old, 5 feet 7, 148 pounds at the time of enlistment and that the was nothing wrong with her body therefore making her eligible for enlistment. The examination happened in Toronto, Ontario. Within the army she saw service in France and worked in the 4th Canadian General Hospital (Kalamaria, Greece and Bassingstoke, England). A year later her service came to an end as she had contaminated TB (Tuberculosis) which forced her to be medically discharged because she was unwell and unfit for service. During her service she earned the weekly wage of $50 for a possible total of $900. She died before the war ended.</text>
