Anna Elizabeth Whitely was a Nursing sister in the Canadian military during the first world war. Whitely was born in Manvers County, and moved to London, Ontario later on in her life. She worked as a nurse before the war began. She likely was not married and had no children, as she named her sister as her next of kin. Throughout the war, she worked at the 10th Canadian Stationary Hospital. Her work in the military began in 1916 and continued until her death caused by an abdominal tumor in 1918 in Wimereux, France. She is buried in the Wimereux Communal Cemetery.
