Title A name given to the resource Ada Janet Ross Description An account of the resource Ada Janet Ross was a commendable nursing sister who enlisted with the Canadian Army Medical Corps (CAMC) at 47 years old, notably older than most other nursing sisters who averaged around 25 years old. Looking at her records, Ross was very willing to aid in the war to the best of her abilities. She was compliant, agreeing to be vaccinated and serve in the Canadian Over-Seas Expeditionary Force, which required a lot of sacrifice as women needed to leave their families behind and remain unmarried. Ada left Halifax in 1915 and arrived in Liverpool a little over a week later. From there, Ada was sent to an array of different hospitals in England and France, and after serving for a few years, she succumbed to a combination of various illnesses in 1918.
