Today the corner stone for the new Lutheran church was laid, Father bring the principal participant as superintendent of the building. It seems a little incongruous to me to see him in his old age take to so active part in church affairs, being an agnostic, but I know he does not do it from any motive to further religion but simply because he is fond of building and his time is not occupied by his office work and thus has found another for his formant energies.
After tea Marie, Dora + I played “Auhus” with the boys, later we three played cribbage, and then Marie + I packed, preparations for my departure tomorrow for Port Arthur again.
