Description
Newspaper section about an Alberta court which adjourned that the movie theatre had every right to refuse entry to a Black woman. Mrs. Lulu Anderson bought a reserved-seat ticket and was refused entry by the theatre, later taking the theatre to court and ultimately losing. This reveals how discrimination against Black Canadians was protected under the law and the harsh reality for many before the human rights movement.
