This initiative is a space for students to explore diverse ways of expressing agency in Latin America through digital projects created in Political Studies, History, and Modern Languages courses with Dr. Guadalupe Escalante-Rengifo.
Project Team
Guadalupe Escalante Rengifo, PhD, part-time professor, Department of Political Studies, Department of Modern Languages, and Department of History. She is specialist in Latin American and Cultural Studies. Her research interests include Latin American colonial and contemporary history, immigration and diversity in Canada, Latin Americans in Canada, and Latino Studies; forced migration, cosmopolitanism, and human rights; Media Studies; Hispanic literatures and cultures; Spanish as a Second Language; technology in the classroom, and Digital Humanities tools in research.
Alejandro Chong, Assistant (volunteer), Computer engineering student.
Roxanne Lafleur, Digital Humanities Support Specialist at the University of Ottawa Library, provides continuous assistance and training in Omeka, Neatline, cataloguing, etc., and contributes to the metadata guide for the students' collaboration.
