Defining our project

This project all began with a goal of learning more about Ottawa's immigrant population and the potential impact of the cultural development of Ottawa. The team began by consulting with the University of Ottawa's GIS and Data Librarians René Duplain and Chantal Ripp on the best source of data to learn more about population demographics. We decided to use Census data from the last three decades to learn more about how the population has changed, where they have settled in the city, and how certain facets of Ottawa's culture has changed over time.
