“The first mask Melody made was for the 1980 Caravan Stage Company production of Bertolt Brecht’s Caucasian Chalk Circle. This mask was inspired by a photo of Brecht himself. The production, designed by Catherine Hahn, featured over 40 masks. This mask was created by sculpting with clay over a one gallon wine jug as a base before applying celastic and finishing with acrylic paint.” Salmon Arm Art Gallery.
