Emanuel Aguilar's "Goblin Market: Cantata" (1880)

This exhibit of Emanuel Aguilar's Goblin Market: Cantata (1880) provides an introduction to the first musical setting of "Goblin Market" and the only one on which Christina Rossetti herself collaborated. The exhibit includes a scan of the complete score, a transcription of the libretto (an adaptation of "Goblin Market" that Rossetti herself participated it and gave her authorial approval to), interpretive commentary, and biographical and historical information including a composition history and performance history.
