Composition history: The composer was inspired to compose a setting for "Remember" by a reference to the poem in a television show he watched: "Strange how coincidences crop up. In one of our soap operas, An ex-teacher is helping a young student to pass her exam certificate and is teaching her poetry. The poem he has chosen is Christian Rossetti’s "Remember" (Daubney).
