This site is dedicated to documenting student research projects from the seminar "Culture for Hope", an interdisciplinary course for advanced undergraduate students at the University of Ottawa as part of the program in World Languages and Cultures.
The seminar focuses on intersections of culture and the arts with hope. How can the arts and cultural initiatives and institutions foster critical hope and resilience as well as contribute to communication, understanding, and reconciliation?
To date, the seminar has been taught in the Fall 2024 and Fall 2025 terms, resulting in public exhibitions of the participants' research projects.
Jusqu'à présent, le cours a été dispensé en anglais, mais une version française sera proposée à l'avenir et donnera lieu à une exposition de projets de recherche en langue française.
