GARREAU asks that certain French firms be informed that their factories in Lodz are still functioning, the city having suffered no damage in its capture. Amongst the workers found there were 100,000 Germans, 200,000 Poles, and many others including a large number of Frenchmen.

DIPLOPHANES asks GARREAU to approach the Soviet authorities with a view to obtaining the release and repatriation of Professor RENOULT, who was sentenced to fifteen years in prison by a Hungarian military tribunal in Budapest. He is believed to be held in the military prison in that city.
