LANGIAL describes the popular demonstrations in Buenos-Aires August 23 and 24 on the occasion of the liberation of Paris. Unlike those of Montevideo, the demonstrations in Buenos-Aires showed a political tinge and suggested a protest against the Government of Argentina. The police intervened from time to time "with a certain brutality."
