Mr. GASSOUIN cables Mr. LAVAL that the rise in prices at Bangkok has increased since the beginning of the year. Products of current usage cost 4 times as much as a year ago. The credits provided by the Department for the auxiliaries of the Legation and the Consulate of Battambaug amount respectively to 18,700 and 3000 francs per month and they have not been increased for several years. Consequently, GASSOUIN requests enough additional credit to increase the salaries of the auxiliaries by 50%.
