Message No. 463.
In the 4th course which Mr. CHURCHILL has just given in parliament he devoted quite a long passage to France.
In bitter terms he recalled the "...." brought about by the conviction that an English defeat would follow three weeks later. Then he eulogised those Frenchmen who continued to fight mentioning the name of ex-General de GAULLE. Thus he left part of the public under the impression that he was, far from opposed to the recent 'coup de force' in St. Pierre.
After these bitter glided words .... he spoke in French of his love for France who would arise and take her place amongst the victorious nations.
RECEIVED.
