Message Nos. 83-84.
Reference your telegram No. 2. I repeat below my telegram No. 79-80.
Would you please get into touch with the French gasoline carrier "MEMOPE" which, on account of telegraph and postal censorship, does not seem to have received the instructions sent recently by ocean transport from New York. The ship should now be in ... or Minatitlan. Would you please inform ... that pursuant to a clause of the contract made on December 26 with the Gasoline Company Petrolieros Mexicanos, I am hoping that she will leave at the beginning of March for Martinique where she should proceed to take on food and equipment. If ... requests it she is authorised, on leaving Mexico, to take a cargo to Cuba and not to go to Forte de France until after discharging her cargo.
I expect that you will send me any reply which is necessary by your courrier as well as any useful information concerning the current situation of the MEROPE and concerning the expected date of her departure.
MENNY MAYE.
