founded recently by M. FOCI... LON has held aloof from him. His contract with the ... School of Social Research will not be renewed next October.
M. ROUGIER has expressed to me his desire to (strengthen?) his connections with this embassy and to receive an (appointment?) to some post in an English possession which would allow him to continue his work and his lecturing. The salary he would require would be about $500 per month.
On account of the fact that M. ROUGIER has exercised a most beneficent influence in American commercial circles since the armistice, I see a considerable advantage in his proposal which I (hope?), after careful attention, will be considered favourably by Your Excellency.
HENRY MAYE.
