- 1981, Mar – Founded by John Kelly, who had previously co-founded Systemhouse Ltd., and been president of Bruce Instruments Ltd, Almonte, ON. (“20 Years Ago Today”)

- 1982 –Nabu Manufacturing Corp. (Ottawa, ON), which had previously already bought 65.5% of the shares of Consolidated Computer Ltd. from the federal government, negotiates purchase of the remaining shares of CCI from Japanese company Fujitsu. The sale price of CCI is extremely low as the company is considered insolvent. Nabu intends to use the Ottawa, ON plant to manufacture its own microcomputers.
