1977 – “Indenticon Corp., in Franklin, Massachusetts, acquired to expand Ferranti-Packard’s bar-code-scanning business.” These were discontinued in 1980. Watt-hour meter manufacturing ended. (Ball & Vardalas, 314)
1977 – “Assets of B.C. Transformer Co. purchased, and manufacture of Ferranti-Packard distribution transformers begins in Vancouver.” Plant opened to build small transformers in Dunkirk, NY. (Ball & Vardalas, 314)
1979 – “Northern Engineering Industries (NEI) Ltd. of Britain buys all the shares of Ferranti-Packard from Ferranti UK.
