- 1921 – Located 56 Adelaide St. E., listed as a “Blue Prints and Artists’ Materials” company; not in listings of optical companies. (Toronto City Directory 1921, 1227)

- 1925 – Acquired the surveying instrument division of the Consolidated Optical Company, Toronto, which at the time employed Thomas Pocklington. (“Pocklington, Thomas, 1882–1962”)

- 1930 - J. Frank Raw located in a purpose-built building at 103 Church Street, Toronto. Building constructed by Toronto architect Murray Brown and A.G. Elton. It won a number of architectural awards. (“Heritage Trust By-Law No. 35-86”)
