Description
A very crowded Main Street, possibly on Labour Day, looking north from Portage Avenue. Pedestrians fill the sidewalks and and part of the street while a row of streetcars and a few automobiles and horse drawn carts stay near centre. Several buildings on the left including the McIntyre Block have since been demolished. The Union Bank Tower and Confederation Building are in the distance. A section of Bankers' Row and the old Post Office are on the right.
