Description

Hand drawn sketch of the design for Southam Hall in the NAC in black and white with letter attached: "OPERA HOUSE - CONCERT HALL | The 2214-seat Opera House is the largest theater of the three comprising the National Arts Center, Ottawa. Although the stage is the largest in Canada, the furthest seat in the house is only 114 feet from the stage. Acoustic shell on stage converts the opera house to a concert hall. Seating capacity is increased to 2334 when the orchestra pit is not in use. (Photo NAC #112)"
