Subject
Music Charts; Canadian Record Charts
Description
This is a RPM Singles Chart from 20 May 1967, featuring the top 100 singles in Canada at the time, and featured Jackie Shane in the 98th spot for her song “Stand Up Straight and Tall.” This song was released as a single prior to the release of her live album “Jackie Shane Live!” and had not been featured in it. There had been a shift in music trends towards the end of the 1960s, as bands such as the Beatles were gaining more and more popularity and had many #1 Hits on Canadian airwaves. Canadian artists were seen getting their songs lower on the charts, while artists from other countries gained more popularity.
