Title

Chief Buffalo Child Long Lance

Description

Chief Buffalo Child Long Lance faced a lot of racism for being Black growing up. He found that if he became Indigenous, he would be able to live a better life and have more opportunities. He did find a lot of success as an Indigenous, and he even starred in a movie. He was welcomed into an Indigenous tribe in the Canadian Prairies and was able to find a home there. He made up his Indigenous childhood because he did not want to be known for his real childhood. He had not been welcomed as a Black person growing up ,so he had to come to the Canadian Prairies to find an identity and be welcomed.
