Title

Leading The Way : Black Women In Canada

Description

This essay in the book Leading the Way: Black Women in Canada, it shows the impact of Jennifer Hodge de Silva. In this entry it talks about her life, from her early days of schooling to her works leading to her death in ‘89. This piece shows that even though she had passed on she was still leading the way because her work will continue to inspire and promote healthy creativity amongst people and especially Black artists and directors. Even if she was not present during the time of the creation of the book the fact that it still presently says “leading” demonstrates her lasting hold and impact on people.
