The Colour of Immunity is a 1991 educational video made by Black CAP (The Black Coalition for AIDS Prevention) to educate Black Canadians on the AIDS crisis and preventative measures the general public can take to avoid exposure. It incorporated a variety of segments including street interviews as well as reenactments and advice about safe sex practices. As the AIDS crisis continued across the 90s and into the 2000s, organizations began to adapt their efforts to educate the public with the trends of the time. Thus, more educational videos that could be more publicly spread began to be created rather than simple posters or radio messages. This goes to show how Black queer activism had changed and adapted to each decade's particularities in order to keep the topic relevant and appeal to younger generations to keep up the fight.
