This segment of an interview with Douglas Stewart, a key figure in the Black CAP (The Black Coalition for AIDS Prevention), depicts what the overarching goal and message of activism is for Black Canadians according to him. He recalls how fighting for Black queer rights was not just about that particular group, but was a collective effort of a mosaic of communities fighting against a broader system. He details the importance of keeping up the dance between the abuse of systemic power and activists as it is ever changing and affects everybody because of intersectionality.
