Navajo pianist and composer Connor Chee combines classical piano technique with Native American heritage. "Navajo Vocables for Piano" is based on transcriptions of vocals sun in chants. Numbers 1-4 and 9-12 are based on Navajo Corn-Grinding songs. Numbers 5-8 are based on Navajo Sqauw Dance Songs.
