In the afternoon I left for my new station – Kalwan [rebillon]] I am going to establish the longitude of the Northwest Angle – Lake of the Wood, it is not why [our] [submalinal] Boundary corner but also the mideal point for the boundary time between Ontario + Manitoba. We will have a time run in the winter (when the numerous lakes + ponds are frozen) connecting my observatory with the N.W. angle.
On the train I met a young Englishman Jaws C. F. Rose from Liverpool who is on his way to Portland Or.
