The men ceased their labors for the day of rest + donned their Sunday clothes and some of the Norwegians with white shirts cuffs + collars +c looked very respectable being of good physique. For me there was no Sunday, I worked hard and by evening finished my building and transferred my cot, blankets + baggage with it but first shaking and ventilating the same for fear of undesirable companions.
Mr. Bayne who had spent the day in Winnipeg with his family returned in the evening + spent a short time with me. I felt comfortable + at home in my observatory, + my first writing there is was directed home.
