Barely Bruised Books is a small, independent bookstore that sells a variety of new and used books, located in Ottawa, Ontario. They promote community and diversity through different genres and categories, including YA. They give children's literature away for free, and upon entering the store, we were faced with a young adult fiction display.
The store is filled with floor to ceiling displays of books in piles. Though it seems cluttered at first, the owner is very knowledgeable on all of the books they own, promoting Indigenous texts and having a wide variety of novels. The store manager, Milo (a cat), adds a touch of cuteness to the place!
