Indigo is a large chain store with a vast selection of children's and young adult novels. The Barrhaven location is a large, open-concept building filled with books, home goods, and an assortment of activities and children’s toys. The "Kid's Bestsellers" display was titled and created by the store.
As the only bookstore in Barrhaven, this branch of Indigo is the only place where people in Barrhaven can shop for books and literature without needing to travel to other suburbs. It is thus incredibly important for it to have a diverse selection of novels and creators, especially when it comes to accurately representing the diverse community in Barrhaven itself.
