The tomb of General Milán R. Štefánik is in Bradlo Hill, Slovakia. This monument, from artist Dušan Jerkovič and built between 1927 and 1928. consists of stairs, two terraces and four obelisks. It is now the site of yearly meetings and celebrations in May.
Bratislava's airport is named after General Štefánik, a fitting tribute to Štefánik, the pilot.
Twelve schools in Slovakia share their name with Milán R. Štefánik.
The Milán R. Štefánik Order, established in 1990, was given to members of the military as a reward to exceptional work in the defense of the Czech and Slovak Federative Republic. Some of the recipients of this award included Jan Ambrus, Mikuláš Ferjenčik and Ján Golian.
